Guo (656-7 13), whose name is Zhen, was born in Guixiang, Weizhou (now daming county, Handan City, Hebei Province), a famous soldier and prime minister in the Tang Dynasty.

Guo Yijin was born as a scholar and was awarded the rank of governor of the same county. Later, he was praised by Wu Zetian and was appointed Cao Youwei to join the army. He also caused a dispute, which led to civil strife in Tubo. During his tenure as the prefect of Liangzhou, Guo strengthened frontier defense, expanded territory and cultivated land, which enabled the Liangzhou area to develop steadily, and also served as the general of Anxi. Later, Guo offended Zongchuk, the prime minister, because he opposed the government's leading Tubo soldiers to attack Digg, and was falsely accused of "having different plans".

After he succeeded to the throne, Guo entered the DPRK, worked as a servant, a minister in the official department, a minister in the Ministry of War and a book in the middle school, and worked as a public official in Guantao County.

In the second year of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (7 13), Guo went to see the Prime Minister again and assisted Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty in killing Princess Taiping. He also served as an ancient official and was appointed as the representative of lord protector. Soon, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty lectured in Lishan, and Guo was banished to Xinzhou for the crime of improper military conduct. Later, he died of depression on the way to Sima, Raozhou.
