Chinese cabbage (Brassica chinensis var chinensis) is also called Chinese cabbage, rape and small rape. Annual or biennial herb, 25-70 cm tall, upright base, branched, basal leaves obovate or broadly obovate, dark green, shiny, terminal raceme, conical, light yellow flowers, spherical seeds, purple-brown, honeycomb, flowering in April and bearing fruit in May.
