History of Ankang Bridge
Ankang Qiligou Hanjiang Bridge is located at Qiligou mouth of Hanjiang River, which is connected to Jiangnan section of ring road in the south and Ankang Avenue in the north, 1.76km away from Hanjiang Bridge 1. Jiangnan starts at the intersection of District Waterproof linoleum Factory and Yinghu Road, passes between the Municipal Pharmaceutical and Chemical General Factory and Hongqi Shipyard, crosses the Han River after turning left in the shipyard, connects with the old dock of Qiligou Ferry in Ankang, and ends in the north of Qiligou Village. The main axis of the bridge is basically perpendicular to the direction of water flow in the Han River. It is designed as a prestressed reinforced concrete low-pylon cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 1,1 meters, in which the main bridge is 493.8 meters long and the approach lengths on both sides are 66.92 meters (4 meters south of the Yangtze River and 26.92 meters north of the Yangtze River). According to the traffic flow forecast and bridge capacity analysis, combined with the road design standards of Ankang Avenue and Jiangnan section of ring road, Ankang Qiligou Bridge is designed as a two-way six-lane bridge with a design speed of 6 km/h, a bridge width of 3 meters, a roadway width of 23 meters, a central separation bandwidth of 3 meters, sidewalks of 1.5 meters on both sides and railings of .5 meters on both sides. The elevation of the top of the bridge is 257 meters, and it is fortified according to the once-in-a-century flood control standard, and the designed navigation capacity is level 4.
