The sports icons of previous Olympic Games all reflect the unique creative design, concept and cultural background of the host country and place. There are 30 sports icons in Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympic Winter Games, including 24 sports icons in Beijing Winter Olympics and 6 sports icons in Beijing Paralympic Winter Games.

Icon design takes China Chinese characters as the inspiration source, seal cutting as the main presentation form, and skillfully combines winter sports elements with China traditional culture, which not only shows the characteristics of winter sports challenging themselves and pursuing Excellence, but also embodies the massiness and profoundness of China traditional culture, and highlights the concept and vision of Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics.

With Xia Guanghong as the background color, the icon symbolizes the sunrise in the east, represents enthusiasm and hope, and also creates a festive atmosphere for the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics during the Spring Festival.
