Xiaogang Feng's ancestral home is Xiangtan, Hunan. He was born in an ordinary family in Beijing. He used to live near Chegongzhuang, Xicheng District, Beijing. When he was young, his parents divorced for some reason. Since childhood, he has lived with his mother and sister. After graduating from high school, Xiaogang Feng devoted himself to military camp life, engaged in grass-roots propaganda work in the armored forces stationed in Beijing, and set foot in the social life of combining learning with application.

Xiaogang Feng's mother is in poor health. At the age of 20, she came to Beijing alone. After marriage, she lost a two-year-old daughter. At the age of 35, she divorced Xiaogang Feng's father. Through the introduction of colleagues in the company, Xiaogang Feng met his future wife and married her. After the wedding, her daughter Feng Siyu was born.
