Zheng Chenggong's culture enriches the folk art in Fujian and Taiwan and exudes infinite charm. That was not the case. This year's "Zheng Chenggong Cultural Festival" on both sides of the Taiwan Strait fully proves this point. You see, performances such as "Gongqiu", "Walking on stilts", "centipede pavilion" and "breast-beating dance" with southern Fujian characteristics are humorous and full of southern Fujian life. The "Song Jiang array" drill in Hecuo community shows the tradition of coastal residents in southern Fujian who are brave and strong and resist foreign enemies. Art groups from Taiwan Province Province performed a majestic phalanx of Zheng Chenggong soldiers, recreating the heroic story of Zheng Chenggong's military exercises and recovering Taiwan Province Province, which deeply moved the audience.
Now, we commemorate this hero admired by both sides of the Taiwan Strait in a romantic way. In Xiamen, many things are labeled as "Zheng Chenggong". I don't believe there are road names such as Zouma Road, Hon Hai Community, Yanwu Bridge and Chenggong Avenue. Nearly half of the tourist attractions are related to Zheng Chenggong, such as Gulangyu, Shiwan Botanical Garden, Tongan and Jimei. After careful counting, you can feel that the connotation and extension of Zheng Chenggong's culture have penetrated into every corner of Siming's humanistic customs. Moreover, the annual Mid-Autumn Festival Bo Cake has turned the pastime of successful soldiers missing their relatives in their hometown during the Mid-Autumn Festival into a holiday carnival and an indispensable traditional program for Xiamen people. Whenever we are immersed in the happiness brought by rich cakes, we can't help thinking of this national hero.
Although it has been more than 300 years, we still feel the same blue sky with him. On the other side of the strait, there are also a group of people who praise him like us. Because of him, we are very close to our compatriots in the Taiwan Province Strait.
