My hometown is Taishun, with beautiful scenery, picturesque scenery and pleasant air. In Taishun, the most I have been to is Sixi Covered Bridge. The most famous bridges there are Dongxi Bridge and Beijian Bridge.
Dongxi Bridge is a covered bridge structure, which spans Dongxi and has three pavilions in the middle. The two ends spread their wings and fly like crouching tiger, hidden dragon, and it smells like smoke. The stream under the bridge is crystal clear, with fish and shrimp in groups. Around the bridge, the grass is lush and the wild flowers are colorful and very beautiful. On one side of the bridge is a distant mountain, as if overlooking it. Nearby are two higher peaks, namely Lion Peak and General Peak. The two peaks are opposite each other, as if they are playing a steep game. Against the backdrop of the towering mountains, Dong Xi Bridge looks more beautiful and light, just like a beautiful fairy.
Beijian Bridge, with a length of more than 50 meters, a width of about 6 meters and a height of about 10 meter, is located at the ancient ferry at the intersection of Sanxi. The bridge deck is curved into an arch, with dozens of bridge buildings built on it; There are several wings on both sides of the bridge. The whole bridge is blue bricks and tiles, carved beams and painted buildings. On the stone steps of the bridge wing, there is a thousand-year-old camphor tree that several people can't hold together. It is flourishing and stands tall. It is so thick, strong and straight, like a mighty sentry, silently guarding this quaint covered bridge. Under the dusk, the trees hide from the sky, and the fragrance is far away, which sets off the exceptionally solemn and elegant construction of the bridge in the north.
There is also a stone step, which is a unique bridge here. It can float on the water, is a good tool for crossing the river, and is also my favorite part of the covered bridge. Surrounded by mountains and waters, a wide stream suddenly crossed in front of us. How can we get there? Don't worry, don't be afraid, look around, in the gurgling water, rectangular small stone piers are neatly arranged, forming a beautiful "broken bridge" connecting the two banks of the river. The stream is clear, green and fast-flowing. It rushes over the stone pier and stirs up rows of small white waves. With the singing of the stream, it is very lovely. During the summer vacation, I often lift my pants, walk to the middle of the river, stand on the bridge and sing and laugh. There are also some playful little girls who, like us boys, lift their skirts and climb the stone pier, but they hesitate when they get to the middle stream-the current is a little big, so they are a little timid, swaying like willows in the wind, and we shout. Some cool people will sing "You are my little apple, little apple, I don't love you enough". Laugh enough, we will bend down, squat down, patiently touch the fish and catch shrimp. Anchor step, also known as stone anchor step or water anchor step, commonly known as anchor step bridge, is a simple bridge, strong and practical, saving time and effort. Compared with ordinary bridges, the anchorage is very low, because it is firmly attached to the ground and there is no gap in the middle, so it is the strongest and will not collapse. It is said that the anchorage steps are all made of very solid rocks on the creek beach. Therefore, stones generally do not rot, weather or peel off. If it is not washed away by the flood, it will remain in the world forever. The interval between all the stone bridges and piers in Taishun is not too long or too short, just the interval between pedestrians' footsteps, about one foot. According to the old people in the village, the earliest steps appeared in the Tang Dynasty. For more than a thousand years, Qibu has been quietly lying in countless streams in Taishun, his hometown, letting the running water flow gently for a thousand years.

Taishun's covered bridges have a long history. According to records, the earliest covered bridge in Taishun has a history of 1000 years. Faced with the dilemma of criss-crossing mountain streams and gullies blocking pedestrians, our ancestors built the most advanced covered bridges with hard-working and intelligent hands at that time, providing convenient access for people from south to north. Xianju Bridge was built in Jingtai period of Ming Dynasty (1453), Dongxi Bridge was first built in Qin Long period of Ming Dynasty (4 years), Beijian Bridge was built in the 13th year of Qing Kangxi (1674), and Wenxing Bridge was built in the 7th year of Qing Xianfeng (1857). It is undoubtedly a miracle that these wooden bridges are still well preserved after hundreds of years of ups and downs. Today, there are still many touching legends about building and repairing bridges among our people. Covered bridges, like an ancient book, tell people the ups and downs of the mountain people.
