He said that Europeans are keen on GT sports cars, on the one hand, because Europe is vast and sparsely populated, and people often need to travel to and from two cities that are not close, which requires vehicles to be comfortable enough to avoid fatigue after long-distance driving; At the same time, because Europe is mountainous, it needs strong dynamic performance and excellent handling performance.

The so-called "GT" comes from the Latin "Gran Turismo", which refers to a two-door hard-top sports car that can give consideration to comfort and high performance during long-distance travel.

I have always believed that only legendary classics such as Bentley Continental GT and Maserati GT are the representatives of pure GT sports cars; Unlike now, as long as there is a little slip-back modeling and sports elements, whether it is a four-door or SUV, you dare to use "GT" as the suffix of the car name. This is unacceptable to "GT fundamentalists" like us.

As the first mass-produced two-door four-seat pure electric GT sports car in China, Nezha GT has attracted wide attention since its appearance. Especially after the Shanghai Auto Show announced the starting price of less than 654.38+0.8 million on April 8, it instantly ignited the enthusiasm of the whole industry for the discussion on the topic of "China Sports Car".

As early as the end of March, Pony had already made a static evaluation of Nezha GT; On the eve of the listing of Shanghai Auto Show, I also went to Xiamen and experienced its driving experience and dynamic performance through a whole day's test drive.

So, today, let's talk about: Is the pure electric Nezha GT a GT sports car?

It seems that the topic of GT "sports car" may be a bit special. Everyone who likes cars should have their own dream cars; ; And these dream cars are often sports cars.

Unfortunately, in the past few decades, most of us have never touched sports cars-overseas brands are expensive, and China brands are expensive ... Well, it's a long story. For us ordinary people, sports cars are unattainable, so we have our own filters.

Just like those entertainment stars, you will always admire the perfection of their makeup across the screen; But when a star appears in front of you one day, you will probably secretly sigh: It turns out that stars also have dark skin/large pores/black eyes. ...

Therefore, when a sports car like Nezha GT appears in front of everyone at an approachable price, there are inevitably voices of people pointing and talking around.

In fact, design is a very subjective thing. The same design, some people just caught the itch, and some people seem to poke the pain.

So here, what I want to discuss with you is the commonality of design-the universal law of design, the basic requirements of function and the aesthetic taste of the public.

Specific to the Nezha GT, from the overall body line, especially the side shape, it is very consistent with our consistent understanding of GT sports cars:

Because of the structure of the tram, there is no need to arrange the engine under the front hood, so Nezha GT can have an extremely concave front similar to the mid-engine supercar.

A-pillar with large inclination angle, smooth roof arc and double door design are the characteristics of standard coupe. At the same time, although the front of Nezha GT is not long, the front seat of Nezha GT is actually relatively backward in order to ensure the head space of the front passengers due to the large inclination of A-pillar. This makes the L 1 13 (the longitudinal distance between the front axle of the vehicle and the driver's pedal) of this car relatively long, which is also the common feature of many traditional high-performance sports cars.

The design of air inlet and air duct on the front and side makes the curved surface modeling of Nezha GT more complicated. Visually, it is more dynamic and aggressive, but it is also to improve aerodynamic performance-the drag coefficient of Nezha GT is only 0.2 1Cd. As for the two air intakes on the front hood, it is only a tribute to the decorative parts of the fuel vehicle (as seen at the Shanghai Auto Show, these two decorative parts have been cancelled in the GT convertible concept car).

Since it is a GT sports car, we have to mention another data-the aspect ratio.

The length, width and height of Nezha GT are 4715/1979/1415 mm respectively, and the length-width ratio is 1.40. This figure is basically the same as Maserati GT( 1.39) and Porsche Taycan( 1.39), but slightly smaller than Porsche 9 1 1( 1.42). The same data on several pure electric coupes are: P7 1.3 1, BYD Han 1.28, Zhiji L7 1.32.

High aspect ratio is the most objective and concrete expression of Nezha GT's "wide body and low body", and it also accords with people's habitual cognition of the shape of sports cars. Especially the height of the car body is very important for the modeling of sports cars. As we all know, the battery of pure electric vehicle is located under the cockpit, so it is not easy to ensure the vertical space in the cockpit and reduce the height of the vehicle body as much as possible.

The four coupes we have seen before, such as Zhiji L7, Weilai ET5 and Tucki P7, are all close to1.5m in height; The height of Nezha GT is only 14 15mm, which is the lowest among all China automobile brands at present, and even inferior to Porsche Taycan (1409mm).

Sit in, GT opens the borderless door with an opening angle of 66 degrees. The interior of Nezha GT is full of sports.

The main color of the interior of the red Nezha GT I test drive car is black, but there are many orange decorations on the steering wheel, dashboard, seat, seat belt, central armrest and door panel. There are also some carbon fiber decorative strips on both sides of the instrument panel and in the cup holder area under the central control panel.

The front driver and co-driver use this integrated racing seat.

After sitting in, you can feel that the seat is very thick, and the design of the backrest fits the curve of the back very well. While ensuring comfort, it can also provide good support and wrapping. Both sides of the seat are made of suede, which can play the role of side support and anti-slip.

Nezha GT driver's seat doesn't feel like sitting on the floor like 7 18, 9 1 1, but it is more in line with most people's daily driving habits, and it is not much different from other cars. As a GT sports car whose height is just over1.4m, the front top of Nezha GT has no oppressive feeling, and the seat is more comfortable than Taycan. After a day's test drive in Xiamen, whether driving or sitting in the passenger seat, the comfort is excellent.

But since it is a 2+2 four-seater car, I still have to talk about the feelings in the back row.

Press the button on the inside of the B-pillar, the front seat can automatically move forward and fall down to a certain angle, which is convenient for the rear passengers to get on and off.

Although the wheelbase of Nezha GT has reached 2770 mm, due to the longer design of L 1 13, the rear legroom is really cramped on the premise that the front passengers are comfortable. In addition, because the roof line is relatively low, the overhead space of the rear passengers is not too plentiful.

At the launch of Nezha GT at the Shanghai Auto Show, Zhang Yong, CEO of Nezha Automobile, described the use scene of the rear of the car as follows: a child with a height of 1.5 meters or a petite girlfriend temporarily riding. Indeed, an uncle like me, who is 174 in height and 174 in weight, is out of the back row of Nezha GT.

In fact, I also found that the configuration of the rear seats of Nezha GT is a bit too real.

As a coupe with low frequency of use, the rear seat is also designed with the same color scheme as the front row, and the depth of the cushion and the thickness of the backrest are similar to those of the front row. In fact, if we properly "optimize" the depth and thickness of the third row seats that are not commonly used, and then "steal" a little space vertically and horizontally like the common 6-seat and 7-seat SUVs at present, the rear row practicability of Nezha GT may be better.

However, although the Nezha GT is not a hatchback design, the rear seats can be completely leveled with one key from the trunk. In this way, the trunk volume of the 297L is greatly expanded, and long items such as skis can also be put down; With 50L front trunk space, Nezha GT can meet the luggage space requirements of two people or a family of three for short-term and long-distance travel.

Driving up, more GT In the past few decades, the reason why China brand lacks real sports car products is that consumer demand and market environment are on the one hand factors, and more importantly, they are actually limited by technologies such as engine gearbox. In recent years, with the rapid development of electric vehicle technology, China sports car has finally ushered in an opportunity for development.

At present, almost any pure electric vehicle of China brand on the market lags far behind the fuel vehicle of the same class in terms of power and torque parameters, and accelerates at zero speed for 4 seconds and 3 seconds.

My Lord, times have really changed.

As a test drive of a sports car, the test drive of Nezha GT was not arranged on the track, but was given to the media for a free test drive in Xiamen. This is actually a manifestation of GT spirit: pursuing freedom and being unconstrained; Not only fast, but also happy.

I am driving a 660-kilometer-long rear-wheel drive. The maximum power 170kW is basically the same as that of Subaru BRZ, but the maximum torque of 3 10N.m is 60N.m higher than that of BRZ. In terms of performance, this Nezha GT accelerates by 6.5 seconds, which is nearly 1 second faster than BRZ.

You may say it's not fast enough, but as an entry-level sports car, this performance is enough. What's more, there is also a 340 kW dual-motor four-wheel drive model, which accelerates for 3.7 seconds, faster than Taycan, but the price is only 226,800.

Let's talk about the driving experience of this car

As mentioned earlier, electrification makes it easy for sports cars to produce very beautiful power parameters, but after all, electric sports cars need to be equipped with batteries, so the body weight is much heavier than that of traditional fuel sports cars that pursue extreme lightweight. The curb weight of this Nezha GT is 1820kg. Before getting on the bus, I was actually a little worried that the single motor of 170kW would live up to the name of the sports car. But after driving, I know this kind of worry is unnecessary.

The power output response of Nezha GT is quick but not abrupt. When accelerating overtaking on urban roads, due to the dynamic load transfer characteristics of rear-wheel drive, you can obviously feel the push-back feeling of Nezha GT. There is also a crystal lever under the center console, which is the ejection start switch of Nezha GT. However, due to the basic test drive in the city, I have not experienced this "artifact" that is said to make people's adrenal glands soar, supplemented by sound and photoelectric effects. However, for most of us, or the main user groups of Nezha GT in the future, even the single-motor version is strong enough.

Using sports mode and turning on the air conditioner all day, the meter of Nezha GT shows that the power consumption is 100 km 16kWh, which is quite unexpected.

When driving Nezha S at Shaoxing Circuit last year, I was deeply impressed by the chassis adjustment of Shanhai platform. This test drive on the city road, of course, can't have too many intense cornering operations. Only in the process of going up and down the ramp can we get a glimpse of the whole leopard and feel the solid stability of the Nezha GT chassis. In addition, when passing through the common speed bumps in cities, the suspension adjustment of Nezha GT is obviously harder than that of S, but it is not as hard as traditional sports cars, and it is still relatively comfortable.

Nezha GT is positioned as a GT sports car for daily use, so many people may be worried about passability. The ground clearance of 120mm is indeed lower than that of traditional cars, but the short front and rear suspension design makes its approach angle and departure angle not small. During the test drive, there is no problem passing through the common speed bumps and slightly damaged roads in the city; There is no pressure to go up and down in the basement.

As for tires, Nezha GT adopts Michelin Race Pilot Sport 4 Series 245/45 R 19. This is a high-performance sports tire that mainly faces the street (not the track) and emphasizes daily driving, which conforms to the positioning of Nezha GT daily vehicles. However, the price of this tire is not cheap. On the one hand, it can be seen that Nezha GT materials are good; On the other hand, if the user needs to replace the tire later, the cost is not low.

Postscript What is a sports car?

In Chang Bing's view, as long as the acceleration is fast enough, the brakes are stable enough, the steering maneuverability is strong, the chassis is tough enough, and the traditional two-door shape is respected, it is a sports car.

Judging from these elements, Nezha GT is an out-and-out sports car.

In the era of electrification, Nezha automobile has superimposed (neglected) the needs of daily use on the concept of traditional sports cars; On the basis of performance, space, comfort and intelligence are superimposed, which further extends the concept boundary and usage scene of sports cars.

On the third day after the test drive, Nezha GT was officially listed at the Shanghai Auto Show.

When Zhang Yong, CEO of Nezha Automobile, announced the price of 65,438+07.88-226,800 yuan, the scene was full of exclamations, followed by applause.

Just like the theme of the conference, Nezha GT may really "open a new era of China sports cars".
