During the reign of Qianlong and Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty, Hakkas moved in and settled on the land originally belonging to the aborigines in Weitou. One side refers to Wai Tou and the other refers to Hakkas. Weitou people and Hakkas each built Weicun for both sides to fight.
