To manage and supervise the organization of national education examinations in the whole region; To be responsible for the statistics, analysis and release of the basic information of education and sports in the whole region; Promote the reform of sports system and sports public service, and promote the diversification of sports service system.

(three) responsible for the overall management of education and sports funds, to participate in the formulation of education fund raising, education funding, education infrastructure investment policies; Responsible for the statistics of education and sports funds input, internal audit of education system and student financial assistance in the whole region.

(four) responsible for promoting the balanced development of compulsory education and promoting educational equity, and responsible for the macro guidance and coordination of compulsory education; To guide ordinary senior high school education, preschool education and special education; Implement the basic requirements and teaching documents of basic education, organize the examination and approval of local teaching materials and supplementary teaching materials for basic education, and fully implement quality education; To guide the education supervision in the whole region;

Organize the supervision, inspection, evaluation and acceptance of secondary and lower education; Responsible for testing the development level and quality of basic education.

(five) to coordinate the education management of local secondary specialized schools; Promote foreign exchanges and cooperation; Guide the development and reform of employment-oriented vocational education, and implement the professional catalogue, teaching guidance documents and teaching evaluation standards of secondary vocational education in the whole region; Responsible for the construction of teaching materials and vocational guidance documents for secondary vocational education.

(six) to guide the construction of party organizations, ideological and political work, moral education, sports art education and national defense education in schools at all levels; To guide the work of education associations; Responsible for the approval and standardized management of social forces running schools and off-campus training institutions.

(seven) in charge of the work of teachers in the region. Responsible for the implementation of the qualification system for teachers in all levels and types of schools in the whole region; Responsible for the recognition and reward of the education system, and centralized management of the continuing education of teachers and educational administrators; Responsible for the construction of teachers' morality and style; Cooperate with relevant departments to study and put forward the establishment standards of various schools at all levels; Guide the reform of internal personnel and distribution system in schools of all levels and types; Guide the construction of talent team in education and sports system.

(eight) responsible for the basic construction and repair of public schools in the region and the addition and cancellation of school layout; Organize and implement the construction of books and materials, laboratories and audio-visual classrooms.

(nine) to implement the principles and policies of the national language and writing work, formulate the language and writing work plan, and be responsible for promoting Putonghua and training Putonghua teachers. Responsible for the equipment and information construction of the education system in the whole region; Responsible for education, teaching and scientific research.

(ten) in accordance with the relevant provisions of the management of education and sports foreign aid and foreign aid projects; Carry out educational and sports exchanges and cooperation with domestic and foreign countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan; Guide the relevant schools to undertake the implementation of major scientific research projects of the country and provinces, cities and districts.

(eleven) the implementation of the national fitness plan, to guide the development of mass sports activities, the implementation of national physical exercise standards, to carry out national physical fitness monitoring; Guide the construction of public sports facilities and be responsible for the supervision and management of public sports facilities.

(twelve) overall planning of the development of competitive sports and the layout of key sports projects in the region, responsible for the training of sports reserve talents, and organizing the anti-doping work in the field of sports.

(thirteen) to organize and undertake domestic individual sports competitions; Organize and hold comprehensive sports games in the whole region, coordinate the physical development of teenagers in the whole region, and guide and promote the sports work of teenagers.

(fourteen) to formulate the sports industry policy in the whole region, formulate the employment conditions and approval procedures for sports business activities, promote the development of sports market, and coordinate the issuance and management of sports lottery tickets.

(fifteen) to coordinate the comprehensive management of school security and safety management in the whole region; Coordinate, guide, inspect and urge the letters and visits of the education and sports system in the whole region to maintain stability.

(sixteen) to complete other tasks assigned by the district party committee and district government.
