There are 5 student canteens in North China Electric Power University (Baoding), including Huimin canteen 1, with a total construction area of 25,000 square meters and a dining area of 1 more than 1,000 square meters. All canteens are equipped with televisions, air conditioners and stainless steel kitchenware, and were rated as "standardized restaurants" by the expert group of Logistics Service Center of Hebei Provincial Department of Education.

Our students come from more than 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China. In order to respect the eating habits of students from different nationalities and regions and meet the consumption needs of different levels, the restaurant has no less than 60 courses of North-South cuisine and no less than 30 courses of staple food per meal. The color and variety of restaurants are adjusted in time with the change of seasons, and the recipes are changed once a week to achieve balanced nutrition and reasonable collocation. As an active and popular student organization, the College Students' Catering Committee has built a good communication bridge between catering services and students.

The service and management of the student canteen is the responsibility of the catering service center of North China Electric Power University Logistics Service Group. The center is people-oriented, attaches importance to the construction of staff, devotes itself to the continuous innovation of management concepts, mechanisms and means, and always takes the food safety and service of more than 20,000 teachers and students in Baoding Campus as its own responsibility. There are more than 300 employees in the center, among which three-quarters of the managers have college education or above, and chefs above the special level account for one-third of the total number of chefs. The management is standardized and the technology is exquisite. Restaurant chefs have won many awards in national and provincial cooking competitions with their exquisite skills.
