Hello!
Dietary therapy is one of the more ideal ways to eliminate lead. Parents intentionally let their children eat the following foods:
(1) Foods rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C combines with lead to form insoluble and non-toxic salts, which are excreted with feces. Intake of at least 150 mg of vitamin C per day should be increased to 200 mg for those with symptoms of lead poisoning. Vitamin C is widely found in fruits, vegetables and leaves of some plants. It is most abundant in sour fruits such as oranges, lemons, pomegranates, hawthorns, and peaches, especially jujubes. Apples, strawberries, fresh peppers, cabbage, garlic sprouts, potherbs, tomatoes, cauliflower, etc. also contain vitamin C.
(2) Foods rich in protein and iron. Protein and iron can replace lead and combine with organic matter in tissues to accelerate lead metabolism. Foods containing high-quality protein include eggs, milk and lean meat. Green leafy vegetables and fruits rich in iron include spinach, celery, rapeseed, radish, amaranth, shepherd's purse, tomatoes, citrus, peaches, plums, apricots, pineapples and red dates.
(3) Allicin. Allicin in garlic can combine with lead to form a non-toxic compound. Therefore, workers engaged in lead operations who eat a small amount of garlic every day have a 60% lower incidence of lead poisoning than workers who do not eat garlic. Therefore, children should be given more to eat.
(4) Pectin can inhibit lead absorption.
(5) Yogurt can stimulate gastrointestinal motility and reduce lead absorption.
(6) The common feature of these three fruits, sea buckthorn fruit, prickly pear, and kiwi fruit, is that the vitamin C content is particularly high, and sea buckthorn fruit is even said to be the king of vitamins. Vitamins can combine with lead to form insoluble and non-toxic salts, which are excreted with feces. Therefore, they have become the first choice food for excretion of lead.
(7) When the diet is deficient in calcium, iron, zinc and vitamins, lead is easily absorbed.
1. Children should eat regularly. The absorption rate of lead in the intestines increases exponentially when they are fasting.
2. The diet contains enough calcium, such as dairy products, soy products, animal bones, etc.
3. Diets containing sufficient amounts of iron, such as animal liver, animal blood, meat, eggs, etc.
4. Sufficient amounts of zinc are contained in meals, such as meat and seafood (especially shellfish). Zinc can antagonize lead.
5. Eat more vegetables, fruits and other vitamins containing vitamins
6. Use health foods with lead-repelling function under the guidance of a doctor.
