Shanghai belonged to Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period. The Warring States period successively belonged to wuyue and Chu. Huating County was established in the tenth year of Tang Tianbao (75 1). During the Northern Song Dynasty, Shanghai mainland belonged to Huating County and Kunshan County, and Chongming area belonged to Haimen County. Jiading County was established in the Southern Song Dynasty. In the 14th year of Yuan Dynasty, Huating County was promoted to the government, and the next year it was renamed Songjiang House, which was still under Huating County. In the twenty-ninth year of Zhiyuan, Shanghai County was established, which was also under the jurisdiction of Songjiang Prefecture. At the end of Yuan Dynasty, there were Songjiang Prefecture, Jiading Prefecture, Chongming Prefecture, Huating County and Shanghai County in Shanghai. By the end of the Ming Dynasty, there were Songjiang Mansion and its three counties, namely Huating, Shanghai and Qingpu, and the mansion was located in the old city of Shanghai. Suzhou Prefecture belongs to Jiading and Chongming counties, jinshanwei.
