1. Hunan ancient painting and drama: After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the art of Hunan ancient painting and drama has developed greatly. Dramas such as Knocking Gong, Pouring Pots and Chopping firewood with bangs compiled and created by Hunan Ancient Painting Theatre are deeply loved by people all over the country. In 2008, ancient paintings and operas were selected into the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

2. Chinese New Year: On the 24th of the twelfth lunar month, the whole family has a rest and dinner, which is called Children's New Year. Every household is busy preparing new year's goods, making tofu, killing pigs, delivering new year's goods, preparing snacks, frying dry tea, writing Spring Festival couplets and tying lanterns.

3. Tujia wedding: When a girl gets married, she should sing a wedding song. When seeing her off, the girl and her mother sang sedan chair songs. When the newlyweds enter the bridal chamber, the singer will sing songs of congratulations and worship.
