Foil film, also known as anodized aluminum (anodized aluminum is more commonly used in printing industry), is a hot stamping material made by coating vacuum evaporation on film substrate and adding a layer of metal foil. The thickness of anodic alumina is generally (12, 16,18,20) microns, and the width is 500 ~ 1500mm. Electrochemical aluminum foil is made by coating release layer, color layer, vacuum aluminizing and then coating adhesive layer on the diaphragm, and finally rewinding the finished product. Domestic electrochemical aluminum foil is generally 4~5 layers.
1, basement membrane layer
Biaxially stretched polyester film with thickness of 16μm is generally used in China. The main function is to support the coating attached to it, which is convenient for continuous action during hot stamping. This shows that the basement membrane layer should have high strength, tensile strength and high temperature resistance instead of being deformed due to the increase of temperature during hot stamping.
2. Separation layer
Generally, silicone coating is the main method. The main component of the second release layer in electrochemical aluminum foil is silicone resin. Its main function is to make the pigment, aluminum and adhesive layer leave the film quickly, transfer and adhere to the surface of the hot stamping object after hot stamping, whether before heating or pressing. This shows that there is a process of release layer between anodic alumina and components, and there is a chemical substance (silicone) in the release layer. Mainly to help transfer materials well, and the main function of our finished bronzing materials is to imprint various bronzing materials on various articles, and at the same time achieve the effect of printing on them. The main component in the basement membrane layer is (polyester film). Mainly to prevent stretching and changes in the hot stamping process, so that the hot stamping process is intact. It won't change at all because of high temperature. And has high strength, high temperature resistance, tensile property and the like. The release layer should have good release performance, otherwise it will make the graphics and texts after hot stamping blurred and appear spots, which will affect the quality of hot stamping products.
3. Color layer

Synthetic resins and dyes with suitable film forming, heat resistance and transparency.

B, protect the aluminized pattern printed on the surface of the article from oxidation.
The colors of electrochemical aluminum foil are orange, yellow, gray, red and green. The color of the colored layer is given luster after aluminizing, and the color has certain changes, such as yellow is golden yellow after aluminizing and silver after colorless aluminizing. The requirements for color coating are fine, and there should be no small particles, so as to avoid sand holes and destroy the uniformity of coating.
4. Aluminized layer
Aluminized layer is to put the colored layer and other films into the vacuum chamber of continuous aluminizing machine. Under a certain vacuum degree, aluminum wires are melted and evaporated to the colored layer of the film by resistance heating, thus forming an aluminized layer. Its main function is to reflect light, change the color properties of the colored layer and make it shiny.
5. Adhesive layer
Adhesive layer is usually coated with fusible thermoplastic resin (many kinds) on aluminum layer by coating machine, and then dried to form adhesive layer. The main function of the adhesive layer is to adhere the hot stamping material to the object to be ironed.
