Liangshan Yi Museum is located in the middle of Lushan Scenic Area, and the whole building complex is designed according to the simple and elegant architectural style of Yi people. This is a building with the classical style of Yi people. Backed by Qingshan, facing Qionghai. The main building of the museum adopts three traditional colors of red, yellow and black painted by the Yi people, and draws natural patterns such as the sun, the moon, mountains, water, horns, bird feathers, fire sickle and fishing nets. The whole building has the Yi style.

The museum covers an area of 45 mu with a total construction area of 5,000 square meters. The large sculpture in the square is called "Liangshan Eagle". The exhibition hall of the museum covers an area of about 1000 square meters and is divided into three parts: Liangshan, a rich and beautiful nation with a long history, and the slave society of Liangshan Yi people before the democratic reform; Great democratic reform. There are eight exhibition halls: social productive forces, grades, classes, household habits, religious beliefs, marriage and family, literature and art, customs and habits, the struggle of slaves and working people against slavery, folk houses and ink marks left by national and foreign scholars.
