Kaihua Temple 1

Located at the southern foot of the relic mountain in the northeast of Gaoping City, Shanxi Province, the main body of Daxiong Hall is the remains of the Northern Song Dynasty. There are exquisite Buddhist murals on the east, west and north sides of the temple, which were painted in the first month of Renshen's first year in the Northern Song Dynasty at least in September of Shengbingzi (1092- 1096).

This group of murals, in the form of boundary paintings, show a variety of architectural shapes, complex spaces and rich colors and decorations, which have preserved precious image materials for many architectural practices that have disappeared in the Northern Song Dynasty, and are also precious examples of visual expression and space shaping methods in ancient Chinese architectural paintings.

She came here to cultivate immortality and cure diseases for local people and won everyone's support. Later, Ma Xiangu died with her head held high, but the world saw that she "walked in vain with a star crown and summer clothes" and built a temple to worship her.
