The Silver Onion Badge is a brooch ornament with the landmark buildings of Beijing and Tokyo, the Temple of Heaven and the Pentecostal Tower as the design elements, and the mascot of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the ice pier, waving a bright national flag as the pattern. Badges are made by gold plating, flashing and other processes, and a limited number of 3000 badges are issued. The design of this badge is inspired by the host cities of Beijing Winter Olympics and Tokyo Olympic Games, which combines the characteristic elements of the two cities.
