When I invite my in-laws to dinner for the first time, I have to cook eight dishes. Southern cuisine can be prepared with braised pork, sweet and sour fish, stewed chicken, cold-mixed three-silk, braised prawns in oil, fried phoenix tail, cold-mixed cucumber and chicken feet with pickled peppers.
Stewed mushrooms with chicken, stewed eggplant with catfish, spiced chicken rolls, roasted frog with garlic cloves, dried bean sprouts, cold cucumber and spiced beef sauce.
