In the first year of the Republic of China, Yandian Town belonged to Guantao County, Jixi Road, Shandong Province. In the third year of the Republic of China (AD 19 14), it was changed to the organizational system below the second district of Guantao County, Lindong Road. In the 17th year of the Republic of China, roads were abandoned, and counties were directly under the Shandong provincial government. In the eighteenth year of the Republic of China, the county was divided into eight districts, and Yandian Town belonged to Niuzhangzhai Township in the second district. Guantao County belongs to Liaocheng area of Shandong Province for 26 years.
