Jianhu County is located in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province.
Jianhu County is located in the hinterland of Lixiahe River in northern Jiangsu Province and belongs to Yancheng City. The geographical location is 33°16′~33°41′ north latitude and 119°33′~120°05′ east longitude. The county has a total area of ??1,154 square kilometers. Jianhu County is named after the first characters of Jianyang and Huduo (now near the lake) towns. In September 1941, Yancheng County was divided into counties and Jianyang County was established.
