Bao Shao is a special cooking method of Dai nationality in Xishuangbanna. It uses natural banana leaves as a cooking tool, wraps the food to be burned in it and cooks it in a charcoal fire pool. If possible, it's best to roast it with charcoal fire, which has more Dai flavor characteristics.

Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, the capital of which is located in Jinghong City, is one of the 16 prefecture-level administrative regions in Yunnan Province. Located at the southernmost tip of Yunnan Province, between 21/kloc-0' north latitude and 99 55' east longitude, it belongs to the tropical humidity south of the Tropic of Cancer. It borders Lancang County in the northwest, Laos, Myanmar in the southeast, Myanmar in the south and Vietnam in the southwest. The border line is 966.3 kilometers long, about 1/4 of the total length of the border line in Yunnan Province, with an area of 19582.45 square kilometers.
