The flight crew consists of astronauts Tang Hongbo, Tang and Jiang Xinlin, with Tang Hongbo as the commander. Tang Hongbo participated in the Shenzhou 12 manned mission, and both Tang and Jiang Xinlin flew for the first time.
This mission is the thirtieth and twelfth manned mission since the establishment of the manned spaceflight project. Its main purpose is to complete the on-orbit rotation with Shenzhou 16 crew, stay for about 6 months, carry out on-orbit (trial) inspection of space science and application loads, carry out astronaut extravehicular activities and loads, and carry out extravehicular load installation and space station maintenance.
At the same time, we will continue to evaluate the functional performance of the space station assembly, obtain valuable data and experience accumulated in the operation of the space station, evaluate the coordination and matching of the ground support center in the implementation of the space station operation management task, and further improve the operation efficiency and fault handling ability of the space station.
