A small vegetable garden full of vitality and hope
After getting up every morning, I will go to the small vegetable garden on the windowsill.

It is a small vegetable garden, but it is actually composed of a balcony of 2 square meters and several wooden boxes and flower pots filled with soil. As the saying goes, "It is better to play with mud than to play with dragons and tigers." I live upstairs in the city, like playing with dirt, and have a soft spot for my own small vegetable garden. I will grow some seasonal vegetables that I like.

You see, the newly planted peppers and tomatoes are slowly returning to seedlings and starting to grow normally.

When planting tomatoes, the seedlings are taller and can be returned soon. Two flower bones were planted on the tallest tree, and now there are yellow flowers, and green tomatoes are just around the corner.

The small vegetable garden is not big, but I use it effectively. According to different seasons, I grow different vegetables, and the quantity is not much, not only because I am as happy as when I harvest, but also because I get a small pearl for watering, loosening soil, pulling weeds and fertilizing on weekdays.

During the growing period, it is of great significance to pay attention to and care for the small vegetable garden every day and appreciate every vibrant vegetable. Like that pot of leek, it's a little old after cutting its head and hasn't been harvested yet. Look at the green leeks every day and appreciate a pot of green plants.

The garlic planted in the early winter of last year was harvested, and three peppers were planted after loosening the soil. As the saying goes, people are not lazy, and I don't want to leave my small vegetable garden idle.

Peel the freshly harvested garlic and eat garlic cloves at noon. Well, slightly spicy and refreshing is the taste of fresh garlic, but it feels different. I planted them myself, watched them grow and harvested them myself.

Onions have been harvested, but it's not harvest time yet, just to make room for tomatoes. It was harvested with onions. Speaking of shallots, I bought a lot that time and planted some together. The denser ones survived. It's convenient to stir-fry a few chopped green onion occasionally.

That onion is an experiment in trial planting. Because there is an onion in the kitchen that has not been eaten for a long time, it actually germinates and grows a bunch of green seedlings like garlic seedlings.

On a whim, I peeled off the onion petals outside to reveal several independent onion seedlings with roots. Just plant them together in a pot with shallots. Just as it continued to grow, a tree grew a long rhizome, and a small bag like an onion seed bag grew at the end of the stem. I can't help but sigh that onions and onion heads should be a family.

Although the harvested onions are small, they are already like onions. Originally, it was planted at will, and through this practice, I had the experience of planting onions. Next year, you can plant a few individual trees and let them mature naturally, so that you can taste the onions you grow.

The small vegetable garden on the balcony is full of vitality and hope. Different plants bathed in sunshine and rain all dream of a bumper harvest. Every day is a new day, and there are new changes every day. It also gave me happiness and hope.
