People's Day is followed by Lantern Festival, also known as "Shangyuan Festival" and "Lantern Festival". Taishan people call it "the fifteenth day of the first month". Fireworks, gongs and drums, playing octaves, dancing lions and eating riddles on lanterns are set off in the evening.
