Hegang, also known as Xingshan, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Heilongjiang Province. It is located in the northeast of China, facing the Russian Birobidzhan Jewish Autonomous Prefecture across the river in the north, facing Jiamusi across the Songhua River in the southeast and bordering Yichun in the west. It is the "triangle" area of Heilongjiang, Songhua River and Xiaoxing 'anling, with a continental monsoon climate in the north temperate zone, with a total area of 14684 square kilometers.
