If it is a whole pomegranate, it does not need to be stored in the refrigerator, but can be stored at room temperature. Pomegranate skin is thick, which can keep moisture and separate pomegranate pulp from the outside world.
First take a small box, spread a sealable plastic bag at the bottom of the box, put all the pomegranates neatly in the plastic bag, take a small water cup, and fill it with more than half a cup of mineral water or pure water. If the tap water is not good, it will spoil the fruit easily. Tie the plastic bag with a rope and store it in a cool place. It can be kept fresh for two months when eaten, and the effect is similar to that of a cellar.
Second, find a plastic bucket, fill the bottom with sand after 3 cm, put the pomegranate neatly, and then spread the sand so that the pomegranate can't leak out. The sand at the top is preferably about 5 cm thick, so the sealing effect will be better. In a dark and humid place, pomegranate can be preserved by this method until the end of the year, and it is much longer than plastic bags. Even people in the city can store it in this way, which is simple, practical and convenient.
Third, find a bucket, put a water bowl at the bottom, fill the bowl with clean water, put a grate on the water bowl, put the pomegranate evenly on the grate, and finally cover it, wrap it with plastic wrap, seal it and put it in a cool place, which can be stored for two to three months, much better than the refrigerator.
Matters needing attention
1. Before storing pomegranate, check the surface for scratches and bumps, especially scratches. Don't store this pomegranate, so as not to spoil the fruit, and it won't play a role in storage.
2. Store as few pomegranates as possible. You can only open it when you eat it. After completion, the bag mouth should be sealed quickly to avoid bacteria in the air and reduce the storage time of pomegranate.
The most convenient way is sand storage, but you can't add water to the sand, because sand will absorb water in dark and humid places, and adding water will make pomegranate rot quickly.
