Once upon a time, Hokkaido was a place with four distinct seasons: in May, there were endless fields of lavender that could turn one's eyes purple; and in December, there was a change to long, snowy days that could bury the hottest hearts.
One day, God and Satan sent messengers to this place at the same time: the angel's mission was to keep the May here, the devil's mission was to trap the December here, but ......
The angel, who is a man, found out two fatal problems after he fought with his rivals:: First, it turned out that this devil was a woman, and as soon as he met her he fell in love with her and no longer cared whether she was a devil or not. Secondly, it turned out that her magic power was higher than his own, and there was no way he could win against her. And now in this situation, he was even more unable to go all out.
So he went to beg her to stay and live with him in the bright month of May. But the devil said, "No, it's your business to love me, and it has nothing to do with May." The angel said, "But I have fallen in love with you, and all is lost. I can no longer go back to heaven. Is May bad? Am I not good?" The devil said, "It's not that you're bad, but, I don't love you."
The two were silent for a long time, and the angel finally decided, "There is nothing more I can do, I will help you keep December, and then guard this place forever." The devil, still very much a little girl, sighed, "You're probably what the old man would call a 'lover', aren't you? Just wanting to love others, but not asking for more."
From then on and Hokkaido's December snow as sweet as "white lovers", will represent the love of the love of people who do not ask for more.
