The folk name of leek flower refers to leek flower.
Leek flowers, also known as chive flowers, are clusters of white flowers that grow on white chives in autumn. Chive flower, referred to as chive flower, is also called chive moss. There are several ways to eat leeks.
One is the spring leek, which is the "spring leek" in Du Fu's poem "To the Eight Immortals of the Guard", "The night rain cuts the spring leek, and the new cooking room turns yellow." Leeks are the most delicious first crop in spring. When various vegetables come on the market in summer, leeks naturally become inferior. Therefore, there is a saying in rural areas of "stinky leeks in June". The second type is leek, which is cultivated in winter. It is light yellow in color, tender and delicious.
"Chive Flower Tie"
Ordinary chive flowers are also closely related to calligraphy, which is the world-famous "Chive Flower Tie" written by Yang Ningshi of the Five Dynasties. Yang Ningshi was a veteran of the Liang, Tang, Jin, Han and Wu dynasties during the Five Dynasties. He rose from official to crown prince and Taibao. He was arrogant and unrestrained throughout his life and was known as "Yang Fengzi". One autumn, Yang Ningshi woke up in the afternoon. Yang Ningshi felt a little hungry, and then she remembered that she had not eaten at noon.
At this moment, the palace brought him a plate of chive flowers. I don’t know whether it was because he was hungry or because the chive flowers were cooked authentically. They tasted particularly beautiful and unforgettable. To express his gratitude, Yang Ningshi immediately wrote a letter of thanks, which included "When a leaf announces the beginning of autumn, it is the beginning of the flavor of the leek flower", and then sent someone to the palace.
This was originally a letter written casually, and even Yang Ningshi himself did not pay attention to it. Unexpectedly, it later became a treasure handed down from generation to generation, which is "Leek Flower Tie". Together with Wang Xizhi's "Lanting Preface", Yan Zhenqing's "Manuscript of Memorial to Nephew Jiming", Su Shi's "Huangzhou Cold Food Poems" and Wang Xi's "Bo Yuan Tie", they are also known as "the five major running scripts in the world".
