What if it doesn't appear?
If the pictures in your gallery are missing, please try to solve them in the following ways:

First, check whether there are any missing pictures in hidden albums and blocked albums.

1. Check "Hide photo album" (some mobile phones do not support hiding photo album, please refer to the actual usage of mobile phones).

HarmonyOS system: in Gallery > Album > Four o'clock >; Hide the album and see if there are any lost albums. If yes, please turn off the switch behind the corresponding album, and the album will be displayed again.

EMUI 1 1.0 and below: in the gallery >; Album > 3 o'clock > hide the album and see if there are any albums you have lost. If yes, please turn off the switch behind the corresponding album, and the album will be displayed again.

2. Check "blocked photo album" (some mobile phones do not support blocked photo albums, please refer to the actual usage of mobile phones).

HarmonyOS system & ampEMUI 9. X/ 10。 X: Go to Gallery > Albums > Other Albums > View the blocked albums to see if there are any missing albums. If so, lift the blockade.

EMUI 1 1.0: Go to Gallery > Album > Three Points > Block Album to see if there are any albums you have lost. If there are, unblock them.

Second, check whether quitting Huawei account leads to the loss of pictures.

When you turn on the synchronization switch of the gallery data in cloud hosting, the pictures in cloud hosting will be synchronized to your mobile phone. After logging out of Huawei account, cloud photos will not be displayed in the gallery. If you have recently cancelled your Huawei account, please log in to Huawei account again, and set up > Huawei account > cloud hosting > turn on the gallery data synchronization switch in the gallery on your mobile phone, so that the cloud photos can be synchronized to your mobile phone again.

Third, check whether there are pictures in file management.

1. Turn on the switch for displaying hidden files and hidden media files. Operation path:

EMUI 8。 X/9.0: enter file management >; More > Settings, turn on the switch to show hidden directories and files and show hidden media files.

HarmonyOS system & ampemui 9.110. x11.x: enter file management > my > settings, and turn on the switch to display hidden files and display hidden files in the system.

2. Then look under the corresponding folder in file management to see if there are any missing pictures:

Pictures or videos taken by the camera: file management >; Browse > My Phone > DCIM & gt Camera.

Screen capture and recording: file management >; Browse > My Phone > Pictures & gt Screenshot.

Bluetooth receives pictures: File Management > Browse > My Phone > Bluetooth.

Pictures saved by three-party applications: You can save a picture in the application, and then click the circle I icon in the upper right corner of the picture in the gallery to view the path.

If there are pictures in file management:

(1) If. There is a nomedia file or folder in the directory, please delete it.

Tips: If your mobile phone is equipped with tripartite applications such as products, products and golf, these applications have been optimized in the new version. In order to avoid generating this file again in the future, it is recommended that you update your application to the latest version.

(2) If the system upgrade has just been completed, please wait for a period of time to see if the screen is displayed.

(3) It is recommended that you check whether the picture is displayed after clearing the data in the media storage and the gallery. The operation path is as follows:

HarmonyOS system: enter the settings, search and enter the application management, and click four points >; Display system program, select media storage and gallery, and click storage >; Delete data.

EMUI 1 1.0 and below: enter settings, search and enter application management, click three points > display system program, select media storage and gallery, and click storage >; Delete data.

(4) If the gallery can't scan the storage location of the pictures, please copy the pictures to a folder that can be displayed normally in the internal storage. For example: internal storage >; Download, copy and find it in the download album of the gallery.

Warm reminder:

Please restart your phone after you finish the operation and wait for a while, then look for any missing pictures in all the photos.

The above operation will not cause data loss. But it will lead to the loss of my collection, instant and discovery albums; Deleting the data stored in the media will restore the ringtone to the factory settings, and you need to reset it.

If there are no pictures in file management:

Please investigate according to the following three scenarios:

(1) picture not found/not displayed in the gallery.

A. the picture may not be refreshed. Please enter the multitasking interface to close the gallery, and then re-enter the gallery to see if the picture still exists.

B. If the picture is saved in the SD card, the picture will be lost if the SD card is unplugged. Please re-insert the external SD card into the mobile phone, and then check whether the picture is still there through the file manager.

C. When the mobile phone is in guest mode/multi-user/private space, the picture of the main user space will not be displayed. Please use the owner's password to unlock the phone and check whether the picture exists.

D. this painting may have been moved to a secret cupboard. Please go to file management > classification > safety cabinet and check whether there are any missing pictures in the safety cabinet. If there are, please press and hold the picture, and then click Delete to view the picture in the gallery.

(2) Thumbnails in the gallery are damaged, so clicking on the thumbnail can't display the big picture/it's still a gray picture, and it disappears completely or one by one after restarting.

A. The opened thumbnail is still a gray picture. When the picture can be viewed normally, you can turn on the screen and turn off the snapshot function. Please enter the camera settings interface to check.

B. When using the cloud photo album function to synchronize photos, if the network connection is disconnected before the synchronization is completed, only photo thumbnails will be generated. Please sync the photos again.

C. If you only see the thumbnail, but there is no image, it may be that an abnormal operation occurred in the process of image generation and the image was not saved successfully.

(3) The screen is lost after using third-party software or restarting.

Some third-party software pictures were deleted due to their own design problems. Please check your phone for suspicious applications. It is recommended that you back up important data first (QQ, WeChat and other third-party applications need to be backed up separately) and uninstall this third-party application.

4. If you have backed up the data before, please try to restore the picture.

(1) If you backed up data in cloud hosting, please try to restore it.

(2) If you have backed up the data to external storage, please try to recover the data.

(3) If you have used Huawei Mobile Assistant to back up the data, please try to restore the data.

If you don't retrieve the picture by the above method, your picture may have been completely deleted. We suggest that you back up important data in time (third-party applications such as QQ and WeChat need to be backed up separately), such as backing up important pictures to Huawei cloud hosting.
