Ligustrum lucidum
Evergreen tree or shrub, up to 25 meters high. Leaves ovate or elliptic, 6-17 centimeters long, 3-8 centimeters wide, apex pointed or acuminate, base nearly rounded, leaf margin flat, both surfaces glabrous, lateral veins 4-9 pairs; petiole 1-3 centimeters long. Panicles terminal, tower-shaped. Pedicel less than 1 mm; calyx 1.5-2 mm, nearly as long as corolla tube; corolla 4-5 mm, corolla tube 2 times longer than calyx; stamens reaching apical corolla lobes. Fruit reniform, ± curved, 0.7-1 cm long, 4-6 mm in diameter, blue-black or red-black at maturity, white powdered. Flowering May-July, fruiting July to May.
