1, geography

Yingkou city location territory

Yingkou City is located in the center of the Liaodong Peninsula, the Liaohe River estuary on the left bank. West of the Bohai Sea Liaodong Bay, and Huludao across the sea; northwest and Dawa District connected; north and Anshan City, Liaoning Province, as neighbors; east and Dandong City, Liaoning Province, bordering; south and Dalian City. The geographical coordinates are between 121°56′ and 123°02′ east longitude and 39°55′ and 40°56′ north latitude. The city area is 111.8 kilometers at the longest point in the north and south, and 50.7 kilometers at the widest point in the east and west. The total area of the city is 5402 square kilometers.

2. Topography and Geomorphology

Yingkou City's topography slopes gradually from southeast to northwest. The eastern part is mountainous, with an elevation of 100-1000 meters; the central part is hilly, with an elevation of 50-200 meters; and the western part is plain, with an elevation of 2-10 meters. The respective areas account for 27%, 31.6% and 41.4% of the city's total area. There are 2,800 large and small peaks in the city, of which 4 are more than 1,000 meters above sea level, 11 are 800-1,000 meters above sea level, and 29 are 500-800 meters above sea level. Dashiqiao City is located in the south of Liaodong Peninsula, northeast of Yingkou City, the left bank of the lower Liao River, a total area of 1610 square kilometers. Dashiqiao City is bordered by the Laobian District of Yingkou City to the west, Dawa District of Panjin City to the northwest, Gaizhou City to the south, and Haicheng City of Anshan City and Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County of Anshan City to the east. The geographic coordinates are between 122°07_~122°59" east longitude and 40°18_~40°56_ north latitude.

4. Geomorphology

The western part of Dashiqiao is a vast alluvial plain of the Liao River, with a minimum elevation of only about 2 meters above sea level. The central part is a buffer zone of plains and hills. In the east are the remnants of the Thousand Mountains, including Jinniu Mountain, Inulong Mountain, Xiuzhaoling, Mizhen Mountain, Hailongchuan and Panglong Mountain. The old sedan chair top mountain on the eastern border is 1033 meters above sea level.
