Suzhou Daoxiangcun Food Industry Co., Ltd. is the authentic mantle and master of Daoxiangcun's original brand. Daoxiang Village, an old Chinese brand, was founded in the 38th year of Qing Qianlong (A.D. 1773). It is one of the oldest and most influential well-known brands in the domestic food industry. With its profound cultural heritage, exquisite production skills and excellent quality reputation, it is known as "the master of pastry, the supreme art of cake". When Emperor Qianlong visited Suzhou in the south, a local pastry shop in Suzhou was favored by Emperor Qianlong for its clear water rose moon cakes and pine nuts and jujube paste biscuits. After returning to Beijing, Emperor Qianlong still liked their fragrance. Later, he not only sent someone to buy them, but also personally gave him the word "Xiang Tao Village". Subsequently, the rice cake in Daoxiang Village was included in the first refreshment of the "Man-Han Banquet". Since then, Suzhou Daoxiang Village has been operating diligently and prospering its business with excellent quality, sincere service and supreme reputation. The Qing Dynasty's "Food Records of Chunhua Restaurant" also recorded the famous brand products of Daoxiang Village in detail: "Moon cakes are the best tea food in Daoxiang Village ... Its advantages are rich in sugar and oil, and its entrance is crisp and easy to be cooked. There are roses, red bean paste, sweet vegetables, salt and pepper. Its price is ten copper coins per cake. Four cakes in a box are called meat moon cakes; If a small meat moon cake, its price is halved, and its name and color are the same as big meat moon cake. ..... As for salted moon cakes, there used to be only two kinds: south leg and scallion oil. In recent years, fresh meat moon cakes have been added. These three kinds of baked food are suitable for instant eating, so the skin is crisp and delicious, so don't be stingy with the flavor. " In the early years of the Republic of China, the word "Taoxiang Village" was all the rage, and its products were extremely diverse, including tea, candy, game, roasted seeds and nuts, candied fruit and so on. Especially the Su-style moon cakes in Daoxiang Village have become authentic representatives of Su-style moon cakes. The word "Daoxiang Village" has also spread in the industry as a brand. "Suzhou Daoxiang Village" has been handed down from generation to generation through the way of "master with apprentice", "South store opens in the north, and South flavor spreads in the north", which has been opened in dozens of cities in the north in the name of Daoxiang Village and continues to this day.
The recommendation of Lu manuscripts made by Gusu, which is famous for its "sauce meat", is also a time-honored brand in Suzhou. In the second year of Kangxi (1663), Lu Manuscript was founded as an ordinary butcher shop. Owner Lu Mou's shop is located in Chongzhen Palace Bridge, Dong Zhong, Suzhou, specializing in raw meat and cooked meat. There is also a rather magical legend about how it was named "Lu Manuscript Recommendation". According to legend, on April 14 of a certain year, on the eve of "rolling immortals", a beggar in rags walked into a butcher's shop with a broken straw recommendation and two old clay pots stacked together in his hand to seek accommodation. Boss Lu, seeing his pity, kindly let him spend the night in the open space of the stove door. The beggar spread the grass recommendation on the ground, folded two pottery bowls as pillows and fell asleep. The next morning, the beggar took French leave. When the fire man was burning meat, he found a broken grass recommendation in front of the stove, so he tore it up and stuffed it into the kitchen hall. Unexpectedly, a strange fragrance spread out, and everyone in the store exclaimed, "Here comes the fragrance, here comes the fragrance." Boss Lu was surprised when he learned about it. He wondered if the beggar yesterday was the incarnation of the immortal. The two clay pots stacked together happened to be the word Lu. Realizing this, boss Lu quickly left the unburned broken grass and put it in the stove every day. The cooked meat smells strange, and the nearby streets and Xiatang area smell bursts of meat. News is passed around and business is booming. Boss Lu had a brainwave and simply renamed the brand of the butcher's shop "Lu Manuscript Recommendation", making a scene in which Lv Chunyang became a beggar to stay overnight and leave grass for recommendation. Since then, the butcher shop recommended by Lu Manuscript has enjoyed a prosperous business.
