Children take 60% purslane decoction, or cut purslane into wonton, steamed bread stuffing, or cook porridge to eat; Each catty of fresh purslane can be given to 15 children, and taken every other day 1 time. Some areas are also eaten as non-staple food crystals for 10 days. After thousands of cases of observation, the incidence of bacillary dysentery decreased obviously when taken in the epidemic season.
② Treating bacillary dysentery, enteritis and dysentery carriers.
The curative effect of Portulaca oleracea on acute and chronic bacillary dysentery is similar to that of other drugs for dysentery, such as sulfadiazine and synthetic mycin. The effective rate for acute cases is above 90%, and the effective rate for chronic cases is also around 60%. Dosage: The effective dose of Portulaca oleracea L. has a wide safety range. Although it is taken in large quantities, it is not toxic. However, there are also reports of allergic skin rash caused by taking 1 00% purslane decoction. Some people advocate that fresh grass should be taken daily 1 kg and hay should be halved. Clinically, 50% decoction (hay), 50 ~100 ml each time, or 100% decoction (fresh grass), 40 ~ 70 ml each time, taken 3 ~ 4 times a day, and reduced for children, with 7 ~10 days as a course of treatment. No toxic reaction was found in chronic cases after taking it for 4 weeks. For stubborn cases, purslane decoction can be diluted and then retained, 200 ml each time, once a day 1 time. Portulaca oleracea L. and Amaranthus tricuspidata L. can also be made into injections (each milliliter is equivalent to each crude drug 1 g). Adults should be given intramuscular injection of 2 milliliters each time, 2-3 times a day, and 3 days in a row is a course of treatment. In addition, Portulaca oleracea, Pulsatilla chinensis and Cortex Phellodendri can be made into a mixture according to the ratio of 3:1:1,and the therapeutic effect is also satisfactory. During the treatment of Portulaca oleracea, patients with severe water loss should be rehydrated as usual, and belladonna mixture can be given to patients with abdominal pain. Most of the acute cases were quickly controlled after taking the medicine. The body temperature returned to normal within1~ 2 days, the frequency of defecation turned to normal within 3 ~ 6 days, abdominal pain and diarrhea disappeared within 3 ~ 4 days, and the stool culture turned negative within 2 ~ 6 days at the latest 1 1 day. Clinical observation 192 cases, after taking medicine1~ 3 courses, the negative rate of fecal eggs accounts for about 80%. Portulaca oleracea can also be made into tablets or1:2 fluid extract, with tablets having higher curative effect, followed by fluid extract and decoction being worse.

Most of them returned to normal within 3 ~ 8 days, abdominal pain, rebound pain, abdominal muscle tension disappeared, tenderness disappeared or there was slight deep tenderness. In another method, Portulaca oleracea is washed and mashed, wrapped in gauze, squeezed and filtered, and 30 ml of raw juice is taken, and appropriate amount of white sugar and cold boiled water are added to make it 100 ml, which is 1 time, and it is also effective to take it three times a day.
