A little knowledge about coffee
The most fascinating thing about coffee is the aroma. There are more than 1500 kinds of aromatic substances in coffee, and nearly half of them are volatile. After coffee beans are ground into powder, the aroma is constantly released. After extraction and brewing, there will be a lot of aromatic substances in the oil layer of coffee, which can make people feel happy, which is also the greatest charm of coffee.
Coffee is an evergreen shrub. There are more than 40 kinds of plants that can be called coffee, all belonging to the same genus, but only three kinds can be eaten: Arabica, Robusta and Liberia. The most common ones on the market are Arabica and Robusta. Because of their poor flavor and disease resistance, Liberia is rarely planted, and is generally only used for scientific research.
Coffee is very afraid of moisture, oxygen, light and heat. When it is stored in the refrigerator, it will produce condensed water due to excessive temperature difference, and it will easily absorb the odor of the refrigerator and destroy the flavor of coffee. Therefore, it is suggested that after opening, the unfinished coffee beans should be directly sealed in coffee bags or sealed cans, placed in a cool and dry place at home and drunk as soon as possible.
