Xinjiang Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch is mainly produced in Kashgar, Aksu, Bayinguoleng and other places in southern Xinjiang. There are mainly five varieties of Ural Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch, Ural Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch, Ural Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch and Ural Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.

Among them, Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch is the most widely distributed, from Altay, Tacheng, Bortala, Yili, Karamay, Shihezi, Changji and Urumqi in northern Xinjiang to Turpan and Hami in eastern Xinjiang, and then to Bayinguoleng, Aksu, Kizilsu, Kashgar and Hotan in southern Xinjiang.
