China is a famous red bed basin, known as the "purple basin". The basin with the most typical shape, the southernmost latitude and the lowest elevation among the great basin in China. It is located in the east of Sichuan Province, the west of Chongqing, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, south of Daba Mountain Range, east of Hengduan Mountain Range, east of Wushan Mountain Range and south of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. Characteristics of the basin:
1, terrain features:
Basins are mostly distributed on the mountainous surface, and there are corresponding basins with different structures in hills, mountains and plateaus. The basin is basically a basin with a low middle and a high periphery. Compared with the outside of the basin, the terrain inside the basin is gentle, with many plains and hills, which is suitable for human habitation and agricultural production. The outside of the basin is mostly high mountains, which is suitable for the development of mountain agriculture.
2, climate characteristics:
According to different latitudes and landforms in the world, basin climate can be roughly divided into tropical rain forest basin climate, marine basin climate, subtropical monsoon basin climate, desert basin climate and so on.
3, tropical rain forest basin climate:
Affected by the equatorial low pressure belt, it has abundant rainfall and high temperature all the year round. Because of being blocked by the surrounding mountains, rainwater gathers around the basin and moves into the basin, with abundant rainfall, lush plants and rich rivers.
