The difference between Tricholoma matsutake and Agaricus blazei Murill:

Tricholoma matsutake, whose scientific name is Tricholoma matsutake, belongs to Basidiomycetes, Tricholoma. The output of Tricholoma matsutake in China accounts for 70% of the world's Tricholoma matsutake output, and that in Yunnan accounts for 70% of that in China, so far it is impossible to cultivate it artificially. Agaricus blazei, native to Brazil, also known as agaricus blazei murill, belongs to Agaricus blazei, which is totally different from Tricholoma matsutake. Agaricus blazei is an edible fungus that can be cultivated artificially, and its value is low. The market price is generally one-thirtieth of that of Agaricus blazei.

Tricholoma matsutake grows in the dense forests of Huashan pine, Yunnan pine, oak, rhododendron and other mixed forests at an altitude of1600-3200m, mainly distributed in Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet, Heilongjiang, Jilin and other places. Tricholoma matsutake has extremely strict requirements on the growth environment and can only grow in virgin forests without any pollution and human intervention. Agaricus blazei Murrill is a saprophytic bacterium that grows on the grassland with livestock manure in summer and autumn. It is native to Brazil and Peru and lives in a high temperature, humid and ventilated environment.
3. Appearance
Tricholoma matsutake's foot cap is symmetrical, not big and small, while Agaricus blazei is obviously small and uneven. Fresh Tricholoma matsutake is umbrella-shaped, bright in color, brown in cap, white in stalk, with chestnut brown fibrous velvety scales in the center of cap.
