Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture is located in the southeast of Guizhou Province. Jurisdiction over 16 counties and cities, with Kaili as its capital. The whole state governs Kaili 1 national economic development zones and 9 provincial economic development zones, namely Ruby, Admiralty, Luoguan, Qiandong, Taijiang, Sansui, Cengong, Jinping and Liping. It has jurisdiction over 7 sub-district offices, 94 towns, 1 10 townships (including 17 ethnic townships).
Qiandongnan Prefecture has a total area of 30,337 square kilometers, with a distance of 220 kilometers from east to west and a span of 240 kilometers from north to south. The terrain is high in the west and low in the east. It slopes from west to north, east and south. The highest altitude is 2178m, and the lowest altitude is137m. Known as "nine mountains, half water and half fields".
The territory is criss-crossed with ravines and mountains, and the original ecology is well preserved. There are 29 virgin forests, virgin vegetation protection areas and nature reserves, among which Leigongshan Nature Reserve is a national nature reserve.
