The origin of the name of the tiger dish
There are two reasons for the name of the tiger dish. One is an appetizer made by a cook for Zhang Zuolin, who has poor appetite. Because Zhang Zuolin is nicknamed Northeast Tiger and the dish is also for Zhang Zuolin, the cook named it Tiger dish, which spread in the northeast.
Secondly, a daughter-in-law in Northeast China can't cook. In order to complete the task assigned by her mother-in-law, she washed and shredded raw materials such as peppers, cucumbers, green onions and coriander, and mixed them with seasonings at random. Mother-in-law tasted it and couldn't help sighing that her daughter-in-law was too tiger. And the tiger in the northeast has the meaning of being stupid and careless. So, since then, people have called this dish tiger dish.
