Chemical identification of Illicium verum root
(1) Take 5g of crude powder of this product, add about 30ml 1% hydrochloric acid, heat in water bath for 20min, and filter. Take 3ml of filtrate, put it in two test tubes, and add 2-3 drops of potassium bismuth iodide test solution to one tube, that is, orange-red precipitate appears; Add 2-3 drops of silicotungstic acid test solution to another test tube to produce milky white precipitate. (check alkaloids)

(2) Take 2ml of the above filtrate, adjust the Ph to 9- 10 with 1% sodium hydroxide, extract with 2ml chloroform, absorb 1ml chloroform solution, add a small amount of 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene crystals into an evaporating dish, evaporate naturally, and add 3-4 drops of potassium hydroxide hexanol solution, and the book number disappears. (Check pyridine ring)

(3) Thin layer chromatography. Take 5g of Dysosma Dysosma root powder, adjust the Ph to 8-9 with 0.5% sodium hydroxide, add 50ml of chloroform, reflux for 30min, concentrate the chloroform solution to dryness, dissolve the residue with 1% hydrochloric acid, evaporate to dryness, and add 5ml of chloroform for sampling. Illicine hydrochloride was used as control. Dotted on silica gel G plate, chloroethanol (1: 1) was used as developing agent. Span 8cm. Color development with improved potassium iodide test solution. The sample and the control showed orange-red spots at corresponding positions.
