Expanded Knowledge:
Wuhan University holds a three-quote poem contest every year, and there are many masterpieces. The one that won first place was:
The crab is peeling my shell, the notebook is writing my ramblings.
I fall on maple leaves and snowflakes.
And you're thinking of me.
The first time I read this poem, I felt that love is great, true love is selfless, and feelings are genuine.
Reading this poem again, I feel that love is ordinary, true love is mutual, and feelings are simple.
When I read it again, I felt straight away that the author was full of heartache and helplessness.
The crab can't be shelling me, the notebook can't be writing about me,
I can't be falling on snowflakes on maple leaves,
and you can't be thinking about me.
The crab shells itself, the notebook is writing about itself,
the maple leaf, the snowflake falls on itself,
and all you care about is yourself.
It's me shelling crabs, it's me with a notebook,
It's the maple leaves it's the snowflakes falling on me, it's me thinking about you.
