There are many varieties of sprouts, such as bean sprouts, Chinese toon sprouts, peanut sprouts, asparagus sprouts, radish sprouts and more than 30 varieties. Sprouts contain relatively comprehensive nutrients and have the effects of beautifying, anti-cancer, and extending life. They are a very common vegetable. So how are sprouts generally grown? Today, the editor will take you to learn how to grow sprouts.
1. Seed selection and soaking
Generally speaking, seeds suitable for planting sprouts should be selected with larger particles, faster sprout growth, thicker hypocotyls, and disease resistance. Strong, high emergence rate, high economic benefits, good quality and strong adaptability to the environment. Before sowing, the seeds should be cleaned first to select high-quality seeds that are free from insect pests and damage. Then rinse both sides with clean water and soak them in warm water of about 25 degrees. During the process of soaking seeds, the water needs to be changed twice. When the water absorption of the seeds reaches the maximum, soaking is completed and the mucus attached to the seeds can be rinsed away.
2. Seedling tray treatment
Before sowing, the seedling trays need to be prepared, cleaned and disinfected. First, scrub the miaofa clean, then soak it in quicklime water, take it out after five or six minutes, and rinse it with clean water. Finally, lay a layer of substrate on the seedling tray, and sowing management can be carried out below.
3. Scientific sowing
When sowing, attention should be paid to keeping the seedling tray consistent and sowing evenly. Do not bump the seeds after sowing to avoid shaking the seeds and causing uneven sowing. After laying the substrate on the seedling tray, you need to pour an appropriate amount of nutrient solution to soak the substrate, and then spread the seeds evenly onto the seedling tray with a thickness of about 1.5 cm. After sowing, the seedling tray should be moved to a place with good ventilation and slant sunlight.
4. Tray management
As the sprouts grow, we need to slowly increase the light intensity, and when the sprouts are harvested, the seedling trays need to be moved. Place in sunlight for growth. In the process of sprout cultivation, we need to spray water three or four times a day. Sprouts planted in winter and spring only need to be sprayed two or three times, but it should be noted that the amount of spraying should not be too large. You can also dilute it and spray it with potassium dihydrogen phosphate of Shiwo leaves to add some nutrients.
Generally, the humidity in the air is maintained at about 85%, and ventilation is performed twice a day. If the temperature is cold, ventilation is also required for a short period of time. Generally, the sprouts can be harvested in about a week. At this time, the sprouts are very tender and have the best taste.
