Scientific name Silene jenisseensis Willd.[Staphylococcaceae]
Morphological features Perennial herbs, 20-50 cm tall. Taproot long and thick, yellow-brown. Stems erect or obliquely ascending, glabrous or basally strigillose. Basal leaves numerous, blade lanceolate-striate, 3-5 cm long, both surfaces glabrous or sparsely hispidulous; stem leaves similar to basal leaves but smaller. Thyrses terminal or axillary; calyx simple, 8-9 mm long, glabrous, with 10 longitudinal veins, calyx teeth 5, triangular-ovate; petals 5, white, limb 2-cleft, throat with 2 small scales, claw striate; stamens 10; styles 3; androgynophore ca. 3 mm, shortly hairy. Capsule broadly ovoid, enclosed in calyx; seeds round-reniform, ca. l mm, surface with striate minutiae. Fl. June to August, fr. July to August.
