In fact, there is also a very famous Songjiang bass in Songjiang. The head has edges and no spines, and the anterior branchial operculum has 4 spines, the upper spine is the largest and bends upward. The dorsal fin is continuous and has a deep depression. The mouth is big and the upper jaw is slightly longer. Jaw, vomer and palate all have villous teeth. The lower fin of pectoral fin is unbranched. Abdominal fin 1-4. There are two orange twill on the gill membrane, which resemble two gill leaves, so it is called "four gill bass".
