Grow commercial fish directly in nursery ponds. The bamboo shoot fish has the habit of burrowing, and a tubular artificial fish nest needs to be placed in the pond to effectively expand the ecological area of ??the bamboo shoot fish's burrowing culture. When the size of the fry reaches a weight of ?30-50 grams and a total length of 12-14 cm, bait acclimation must be carried out in time. The acclimation period takes 1-2 weeks. In order to adapt to the characteristics of Thai bamboo shell fish that do not like to swim, 10 to 16 bait hanging baskets need to be distributed per acre. To prevent the silt at the bottom of the pond from contaminating the bait, the hanging baskets should be about 20 cm away from the bottom of the pond. The processed and cleaned chilled fish meat pieces are fed at dusk every day. The next morning, the food intake is checked and the hanging basket is cleaned. The amount of feed is increased or decreased as appropriate according to the food intake.
Here are some precautions for the cultivation of Thai bamboo shoot fish:
1. Domesticate and eat artificial powdered feed. You can use surimi and artificial synthetic feed to mix and process them into lumps. Feed, and gradually transition to all artificially synthesized feeds. The protein content of artificially synthesized feeds shall not be less than ?38%. Turtle, eel, and puffer fish feeds can be used. The feed coefficient of feeding chilled fish pieces is 6 to 8, and the feed coefficient of feeding artificial feed is about 2 to 2.5. Under suitable temperature conditions, commercial specifications can be reached in 6 to 7 months. When breeding bamboo shoot fish for the first time, it is better to choose the one-time cultivation method, but the size of the cultured fish varies greatly.
2. Select fish species of different sizes of 30 to 50 grams or more from the nursery pond, and breed them in ponds according to sizes to avoid cannibalism caused by size differences. It is appropriate to choose a pond with an area of ??3 acres, usually no larger than 6 to 8 acres, a water depth of 1.5 meters, little silt, and a good water source.
3. Before releasing seedlings, the pond should be cleaned and disinfected to remove miscellaneous fish. Artificial fish nests should be arranged at the bottom of the pond. Plastic pipes with a diameter of 11 cm and a length of 35 cm can be used, and two 2-meter-long plastic pipes can be used. Wooden strips are used to tie 9 plastic pipes into rows, about 60 rows per acre depending on the breeding density. The artificial fish nest pipes should be 20 cm away from the bottom of the pond, fixed with pile frames, and slightly tilted to avoid accumulation of soil and fish feces in the pipes. Artificial fish nests are an important way to increase breeding density and increase production. Breeding density: 3,000 to 3,500 large-sized bamboo shoot fish fry are stocked per acre, and 50 silver carp and 20 kilograms of green shrimp are stocked at the same time. The polyculture of silver carp, shrimp and bamboo shoot fish forms a good food chain. Shrimp is not only the best bait for bamboo shoot fish, but also effectively cleans up remaining bait and maintains stable water quality. This method of raising commercial fish has better size variation than raising it directly at once. The feeding method is the same as before.
