In 2005, Jiang Yuanxun, the 24th descendant of Masayama race, succeeded in developing Jin Junmei through innovation and integration on the basis of inheriting the culture and production skills of Masayama race black tea for more than 400 years. This kind of tea was warmly welcomed in China as soon as it came out, and it is still the representative of high-end black tea. Jin Junmei's name comes from its appearance resembling a human eyebrow, and it is also to commemorate Mr. Liang Junde, a tea maker, who took out the word "Jun" in his name and combined it, so he got "Junmei". According to the different standards and grades of tea picking, gold, silver and copper are added in front to distinguish the three grades. The definition of Jin Junmei by Tea Research Institute of China Academy of Agricultural Sciences is that Jin Junmei is a kind of tea made from wild tea buds in Wuyishan National Nature Reserve at an altitude of 1, 200 ~ 1, 500m, which has been produced by traditional innovative production technology of Zhengshan people for more than 400 years. Therefore, not all black tea can be called Jin Junmei. This definition defines the origin, altitude, raw materials and technology of Jin Junmei.

5. Is Jin Junmei a Masayama?

Jin Junmei is a new type of black tea, which is developed on the basis of traditional zhengshan species, but there are differences in picking standards and production technology.

6. How to choose Jin Junmei?

1. Look at the dry tea: Jin Junmei tea is collected from a single bud. Therefore, if there is one bud, two leaves or one bud, three leaves in dry tea, it is likely to be a fake pretending to be beautiful in Jin Jun. In addition, Jin Junmei's dry tea should present golden buds and black buds, and the proportion of golden buds is about 30%-40%. Most of the so-called Jin Junmei teas on the market are all yellow buds or all black buds, so they are not real Jin Junmei.

2. Look at the tea soup: Jin Jun Midea's tea soup is bright golden yellow, very clear and transparent, with a circle of bright golden yellow. Therefore, if a brown or red tea soup appears after brewing, it is likely to be a fake Jin Junmei. In addition, the transparency of Jinjunmei tea soup should be crystal clear, which is caused by the pyrotechnics making Jinjunmei tea. The fireworks of fake Jin Junmei are generally not up to standard, so their tea soup will generally show more turbidity and impurities.

3. Smell the fragrance of tea: The real Jinjunmei tea did not use a red pot in the production process, nor was it re-produced. The aroma of tea is mainly floral and honey, without caramel and sweet potato flavor. In contrast, in order to improve the sweetness of fake Jinjunmei tea, sugar and smoke may be added in the production process. Therefore, the taste of these teas is generally caramel or sweet potato. In addition, in addition to smelling dry tea, you can also smell the brewed wet tea. The aroma of real Jinjunmei tea is still fresh after two or three times of brewing, while the aroma of fake Jinjunmei tea is very strong after the first time of brewing, and the taste is very light after several times of brewing, and the change is very obvious.

4. Look at the place of origin: Jin Junmei is a variant of Zhengshan race, so like Zhengshan race, there is only one authentic place of origin, namely Tongmuguan in Wuyishan. Tongmuguan in Wuyishan is the birthplace of black tea, and only the Jin Junmei produced there is the real Jin Junmei. If Jin Junmei is not Tongmuguan, it belongs to other varieties of tea, not the real Jin Junmei. Therefore, when buying Jin Junmei, you should carefully check the origin of tea.
