Today we are going to make dumplings at home, and my grandma prepared the dumpling filling early in the morning. I'm so happy to think that I'll be able to eat my favorite food at noon.
Usually, grandma and mom make the dumplings, but mom was out of town, so I had to try my hand at it! I thought it would be fun!
At first, I pushed and pulled the rolling pin, feeling that the dough and the rolling pin would fly out from under me at any moment. I rolled as hard as I could, and the dumpling skin was rolled out as big as the palm of one's hand, and my dad, who was on the sidelines, was dissatisfied and said, "Son, the skin is too big, too, roll it out a little smaller." I listened to my father's words and gently rolled up, rolling the skin to a small thick, I think this time my father should be satisfied.
Who knows, my grandma said, "This is too thick, the dumplings won't cook well like this, roll it thinner." At this point I was a little impatient, and wanted to immediately put down the rolling pin and stand up to quit! But I still insisted on rolling, thinking that I would be able to roll out the dumpling skin well. One, two, three ...... gradually I felt the rolling pin in my hands to listen to my call, rolled out the dumpling skin is not too big, not small, thin outside, thick inside, grandma even praised me for my ability to do it.
In this incident, I realized that when encountering difficulties or setbacks, do not give up on yourself or give up halfway, but should be motivated, study hard, not be afraid of setbacks, and treat failure as the mother of success, and that any good ending can only be obtained through hard work.
In the future, I will be the main force in our family when we make dumplings again, and I am really proud of myself!
