What sculpture did the Central People’s Government send to Hong Kong?

To celebrate the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, the Central People's Government presented the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with a large sculpture "Eternally Blooming Bauhinia" as a congratulatory gift.

The golden bauhinia flower, the symbolic image of the regional flag and regional emblem of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, stands on a warm red granite base. The base symbolizes the radius of Kyushu; the surrounding Great Wall symbolizes the great motherland. The entire sculpture shows that Hong Kong will always be prosperous.
