Powdered kudzu (Latin name: Puerariamontanavar.thomsonii (Bentham) M.R. Almeida) is a genus of kudzu in the family Leguminosae. Its stems and branches are covered with yellow-brown short hairs or mottled hirsute,[1] ternately compound, long-petiolate; stipules lanceolate-long elliptic, hairy; racemes axillary; bracteoles ovate; calyx campanulate; pods long ellipsoid, flattened, 10-12 centimeters long, 1-1.2 centimeters wide, densely covered with long yellow-brown hirsute hairs; and the seeds are reniform or orbicular. [2] It is found in Bhutan, Laos, Myanmar, and China, and grows in mountain thickets or open forests.
